This trio delivers a diverse palette of modern jazz guitar melodies, backed by dynamic acoustic bass and finely textured drum rhythms. Together, they explore original compositions by Helgeson, and catchy arrangements by Django Reinhardt, Pat Metheny, Bill Frisell and others. Lead, Glen Helgeson, released eight albums throughout his career, won a Minnesota Music Award, and received a Walker Art Center commissioned grant. Steve Pikal, a highly regarded first-call bass player from the Twin Cities jazz scene, tours locally and nationally and has performed with numerous legendary musicians including Delfeayo Marsalis and Margaret Whiting. One of the most requested drummers on the national jazz circuit, Danny Coots has recorded extensively in New York and L.A., and Nashville, where he currently lives. He's played on over 100 recordings, one of which won a Grammy in 2005.
