Guitarist and composer Glen Helgeson joins forces with avant-garde cellist Anna Vazquez

for a special evening of acoustic guitar and cello in an intimate house concert setting.  

Helgeson will feature many of his guitar compositions and a few vocals on his six and twelve string guitars.

Special guests include poet Tim Young, violinists Dalyce Elliot and Terry Elliot.

The Prospect Park house sits on a hill between Minneapolis and St. Paul, just East of the Mississippi River and west of the intersection of I94 and Highway 280. Take Franklin to Seymour, at the stop light turn North. Melbourne is the next street parallel to Franklin. Turn west to 129 Melbourne on the south side of the street. The Holtby House Concert Series offers some of the Twin Cities' finest performers in an intimate setting for a reasonable house concert.  Due to the intimacy of the concert, this is a perfume-free environment

Here's how their house concerts work:

Ron and Becky pass a hat, and whatever goes in it goes to the musicians (they suggest $15 per person or more...) You are invited to bring something to share for the community snack table.  They provide non-alcoholic punch or apple cider, hot tea, etc.  (If you want to bring something else to drink, you are welcome to...wine, beer ok) This is a kid friendly event (as long as your kid is friendly, of course!) Bring friends...they're all welcome. You don't need to RSVP...just come!  There will usually be an art boutique with lovely things for you to consider.
